Jim Connelly

Jim Connelly is part of the team that founded Water Street. As Partner Emeritus, he continues to support the team and its initiatives focused on building market leaders in healthcare. Over the course of his career, Jim has played an instrumental in spearheading growth initiatives at a range of global healthcare organizations. As president and CEO of Caremark International, he helped lead the company’s transformation into a multi-billion-dollar global healthcare services organization. Jim also led the expansion of Baxter’s Medical Supply Distribution businesses while serving as corporate officer and group executive. Earlier in his career, Jim held leadership positions with American Hospital Supply Corporation and USF Corporation. Active in the community, Jim is a director of The Cradle Foundation, one of the nation’s foremost adoption agencies. He previously served as a director of the United Way of Lake County and Victory Memorial Hospital. Jim received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and his master’s in business administration from the University of South Carolina.
