Rob Womsley
Managing Partner
With more than 25 years of global investment experience, Rob develops Water Street’s partnerships with founders and leaders of healthcare businesses. He has been instrumental in building a premier group of companies specializing in diagnostic and medical products, laboratory services, and life sciences. Prior to joining Water Street, Rob was a senior partner with Citi Private Equity. As head of European operations, he led Citi Private Equity to complete more than $1 billion of direct investments across a variety of industries. He was promoted to a number of senior executive positions during his career at Citi, including serving as global head of its Private Equity Placement group. Previously, Rob was a managing director in the Sponsor Coverage group and the Chicago Investment Banking group. Rob serves on the boards of Alcor Scientific, Avantik, Discovery Life Sciences, GlobalMed Logstix, MedSpeed, Pathnostics, and Renovo Solutions. He also contributes to the University of Chicago Booth School of Business’ healthcare research and education programs as a member of its Healthcare Initiative Advisory Circle. Rob received his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and his master’s in business administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
