Jeff Holway

Jeff Holway is a founding member of Water Street, where he established the firm’s business and back-office operations. He effectively served as chief operating officer managing finance, accounting, human resources, compliance, and general administration, while also overseeing portfolio company supply chain initiatives. Prior to joining Water Street, Jeff had a 27-year career at JPMorgan and its predecessor banks on the transaction side of the business, holding leadership positions in leveraged finance, mezzanine lending, and private equity. His career progression included serving as head of First Chicago Mezzanine Capital (1989), partner at First Chicago Equity Capital (1992), and managing partner of Bank One Venture Partners (2000). Jeff was a founding partner of One Equity Partners, the private equity arm of JPMorgan. While at OEP, he also managed JP Morgan’s $2 billion fund-of-funds portfolio encompassing approximately 100 private equity funds. Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from Western Colorado University and both a master’s degree in geology and a master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University.
