Mark A. Goldberg
Dr. Mark Goldberg is a senior life science executive and innovator. In his most recent role as president and chief operating officer at PAREXEL International, he led one of the world’s largest biopharmaceutical services companies. Mark was a key player on PAREXEL’s executive management team for more than 20 years. He was instrumental in driving business results through the application of his combined medical, technical, and clinical research expertise. Mark previously served as president of PAREXEL’s Clinical Research Services, the company’s largest business segment, driving strong growth and performance. Prior to that, he served as president of Perceptive Informatics (now PAREXEL Informatics), helping to position PAREXEL as a leader in providing eClinical solutions that accelerate drug development. He also oversaw the geographic expansion of the company’s clinical development capabilities, including significant growth in the Asia-Pacific region. Mark is a recipient of the Special Recognition Award from the Academy of Physicians in Clinical Research for contributions to the advancement of clinical research. He also has been recognized by The Week magazine in its list of the world’s top emerging business leaders. Prior to PAREXEL, Mark served as president and director of WorldCare, Inc., a telehealth spin-off from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), which he helped found. Mark holds a degree in computer science and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.D. from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at MGH, where he served as chief resident, as well as a staff radiologist. Mark serves on the board of directors of Intensity Therapeutics, Inc.
