Premise Health

Premise Health is a leading worksite health company dedicated to improving the cost and quality of employer healthcare.   The company was formed in 2014 when Water Street merged Walgreens’ subsidiary, Take Care Employer Solutions, with CHS Health Services — bringing together two of the most experienced providers in the industry.  Premise Health manages more than 500 worksite health and wellness centers across the country.  The company serves more than 200 of the nation’s premier corporations, many of them among the Fortune 1000.  Water Street helped Premise Health complete two acquisitions in 2016 to expand its expertise and services to mid-size companies and municipalities.  Together with management, we are continuing to invest in initiatives that will extend Premise Health’s capabilities to the growing base of U.S. employers who are looking for new ways to improve health outcomes while driving down the cost of care.

Stuart Clark was appointed chief executive officer of Premise Health when CHS Health Services (CHS) and Take Care Employer Solutions, a subsidiary of Walgreens, merged in 2014 to create a leading worksite health company.  Stuart has been on the front lines of transforming the onsite health industry to a holistic model that delivers primary care, preventive and pharmacy services with an emphasis on leveraging technology to engage people and change behaviors.  His entry into the worksite health industry began with American Occupational Health Management, Inc. (AOHM) in its start-up phase in 1991.  Stuart served in operations and sales management roles until the company was sold to Meridian Occupational Healthcare Associates in 1996. He then joined Meridian’s senior management team and served in operations and development roles over the next nine years. He was promoted to executive vice president in 2005, overseeing four onsite operating divisions for Meridian/Itrax (AMEX:DMX).  Stuart joined CHS in 2006. Under his leadership, the company grew to serve more than 100 large corporations, many of them among the Fortune 1000.
